+ Art Coordinator (Las Vegas)

Orbus Exhibit & Display Group®, a leading and highly successful manufacturer and trade distributor of products and services to the tradeshow and display industries selling Business to Business headquartered in Woodridge, is seeking a full-time Art Coordinator to join our fast-paced and growing graphic services department.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Preflight client supplied artwork and troubleshooting issues regarding quality of artwork, file setup, fonts, placed and embedded imagery, and client relations.
  • Ability to color match using Pantone Matching System and working knowledge for photographic color corrections & photo manipulation.
  • Working to maintain all schedules and deadlines; understand turn times.
  • Communicating with clients daily to ensure that projects are completed according to schedule and specification.
  • Provides customers with a high level of service.
  • Accessing and navigating the FTP site.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Utilize documented instructions from the Art Assistant to accurately preflight client supplied artwork. This includes troubleshooting issues regarding quality of artwork, file setup, fonts and placed or embedded imagery
  • Communicate with clients daily to ensure that projects are completed according to schedule and specification

  • Working with various internal departments to ensure that the correct information is conveyed on the order for proper printing and finishing of the final product

Qualified candidates should have the following:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design or equivalent experience

Orbus Exhibit & Display Group®, a progressive manufacturing company of trade show exhibits headquartered in the Southwest Suburbs is looking for skilled Bench Carpenters and Cabinetmakers with Laminate experience to join our growing production team. This is an intermediate production position. All applicants must have experience building or finishing.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish the specifications of articles to be constructed or repaired, and plan the methods and operations for shaping and assembling parts, based on blueprints, drawings, diagrams, or oral or written instructions.
  • Measure and mark dimensions of parts on paper or lumber stock prior to cutting, following blueprints, to ensure a tight fit and quality product.
  • Produce and assemble components such as crates and exhibit fixtures.

Job Summary:

The CAD Production Drawing Detailer functions as an integral member of the Project Management team, working alongside a Project Manager, providing detail drawings to production and/ or clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate CAD detail drawings of custom items for production in both 2-D and 3-D environments.
  • Graphic Layout and template development.
  • Effectively communicate with Design, Production, and Sales departments.
  • Organize items within an existing CAD file to create a Bill of Materials for Production.
  • Communicate with customers via telephone, email, and in person regarding their projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS or equivalent from a four-year college/technical school or two years CAD experience
  • Skilled in various CAD programs with an emphasis on Solidworks and Vectorworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily physical and perpetual cycle counting efforts
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of various items at satellite locations
  • Work closely with other departments on planned replenishment orders
  • Perform related duties as required
  • Report, monitor and review daily inventory adjustments/changes
  • Conduct daily analysis to anticipate and resolve potential problems
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies, problem orders and transfer issues in order to reduce back order rates
  • Coordinate product movement, warehouse changes and product rotation process
  • 1-3 year experience in inventory, distribution and operational procedures
  • Experience in Kanban development, implementation and facilitation a plus
  • Ability to be self-motivated with minimal management intervention for daily Kanban tasks

Our large format digital print department is in need of a candidate who can multi-task and can work well both within a team and on their own. Responsibilities include processing files with RIP software, organizing daily work schedules, running and maintaining 1-2 grand format printers. Experience with Ergosoft RIP software, color correcting and Gandy Innovations print equipment is a plus.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 to 2 years experience in the large format print field or tradeshow industry

The Product Coordinator will support New and Existing Product development initiatives by working closely with the Product Development, Quality Control, and CAD team. This position will report to the Product Manager.

Position Duties:

  • Perform product testing and log test results
  • Maintain accurate documentations for executed tests
  • Inspect components, subassemblies, and assemblies
  • Weigh product and samples to verify packaging weight
  • Develop product specifications and provide support in preparing instructional documents
  • Recommend product design revisions based on test data to meet expected performance
  • Review technical architecture documents, design documents, and functional requirements to identify any potential defects
  • Place sample orders with factories/vendors. Create and maintain tracking of all samples to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Receiving, tagging, preliminary evaluation of product samples and maintain accurate and complete product sample related information
  • Assist internal stakeholders with product information requests

This is an intermediate production position. All applicants must have experience with basic wood working skills.

  • Establish the specifications of articles to be constructed or repaired, and plan the methods and operations for shaping and assembling parts, based on blueprints, drawings, diagrams, or oral or written instructions.
  • Produce and assemble components such as wood substrates that are finished in vinyl by a thermo-forming process.
  • Establish the specifications of articles to be constructed or repaired, and plan the methods and operations for shaping and assembling parts, based on blueprints, drawings, diagrams, or oral or written instructions.
  • Trim, sand, and scrape surfaces and joints to prepare articles for finishing.
  • Prep substrate for gluing operation. Able to use a spray gun.
  • Verify dimensions, and check the quality and fit of pieces in order to ensure adherence to specifications
  • Team Player with a positive can do attitude
  • Able to work flexible hours, including OT when needed.
